Best New Play nominations

"Fireflies: a love story waiting to happen" by Kevin Fegan
http://youtu.be/t4i1TR5Y3jo

and "Slave: a question of freedom" by Kevin Fegan
have both been nominated for Best New Play Manchester Evening News Theatre Awards 2011.
"Fireflies" was commissioned & produced by The Lowry.
"Slave" was commissioned & produced by Feelgood Theatre and performed at The Lowry, followed by a special performance at The House of Lords.

Fegan’s drama, commissioned by The Lowry, is an inner-city romance between two lost souls longing for a second chance in life... Noreen Kershaw’s production skilfully integrates the digital elements, created by Manchester production company Lion Eyes TV, into a seamless montage of live and filmed action. But it’s the core components of good writing and fine acting that determine the show’s success…It’s raw, uncompromising stuff, but ultimately Fireflies leaves you with a warm glow.”

PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT ME

An exhibition of portrait poems by Kevin Fegan
at The Brewhouse Arts Centre Burton-on-Trent

As a playwright and poet I find myself using verse to create hundreds of characters in my plays and poems. This unique exhibition of verse is a selection of those imaginary people: people who are not me.
